CALCUTTA CLUB USA and MIT SANGAM STUDENTS ASSOCIATION thanks all for an amazing and groundbreaking third CALEIDOSCOPE FILM FESTIVAL held in BOSTON from SEP 8th – 10th, 2017. It was the largest Indian cine celebration in New England ever. Media coverage of Caleidoscope is currently available on several leading newspapers. This year, Caleidoscope presented an amazing array of decorated films from the sub-continent and beyond at two locations – Apple Cinemas, Cambridge and at MIT.

Results of the Caleidoscope Competitive Festival were announced on Sep 10th evening at the awards dinner:

Jury Awards (includes trophy plus monetary prize, sponsor names in parentheses)

Best Film – Bisorjon by Kaushik Ganguly. Produced by Opera Movies (Nalini and Raj Sharma) – $500

Best Director – Sanal Sashidharan in Sexy Durga (Curate Partners) – $250

Best Short Film – Far Away by Jaspreet Singh, Producer Bill Campbell (Gouri Datta) – $125

Best Documentary – Broto Alpona by Sarbari Chowdhury. (Pushpa Karna/Aalok fashions) – $125

Best Actor – Vikrant Massey in A Death in the Gunj (Subu Kota) – $125

Best Actress – Jaya Ahasan in Bisorjon (Subu Kota) – $125

Technical Excellence Award – Sexy Durga (Gope Gidwani) – $125

Best new talent – Vinayak Potdar in Half Ticket (Ram Gupta) – $125
